Research & collections
Over time, the Rilke Foundation has grown into a research and resource center. Its library is located on the ground floor and the upper story of the Pancrace de Courten mansion. Its catalogue is accessible online.
The collection includes a number of manuscripts and letters from Rilke and others in the original, photographs, paintings, sculptures, CDs, films, musical scores, and sound recordings. In addition, the library houses an extensive collection of relevant newspaper clippings from 1910 to the present. The collection continues to grow through gifts, donations, and purchases.
We supplement and update the collection frequently. We nevertheless occasionally overlook new releases and publications that are relevant to our collection. We appreciate your references and tips regarding Rilke publications – books, articles, and records of any kind – that may have escaped our notice.
